(June 1, 2006, Atchison, Kan.) The Department of Defense, acting through the Defense Logistics Supply Agency announces that it has awarded a maximum value $50,000,000 contract to Oceanic Medical Products, Inc. of Atchison for the Magellan-2200 Anesthesia Machine. This equipment will be used worldwide by the U.S. Army. More than 400 proposals were submitted.

“The company has been working with the Army on this product for five years, and we are pleased that the details have been completed and that the Army has shown such confidence in the product” said Rod Peake, President of Oceanic.

Full-scale military production of the Magellan-2200 Anesthesia Machine will begin immediately.
